Fellowship

Today was such a sweet time with Inara and I don't want to forget it. Sure there was some discipline along the way, but also so much teaching! Today I worked and then picked up Inara. We were going to go to my friend Mandy's to hang out. I was telling her about Mom's new friend and was explaining what "fellowship" is. Here is the grown up official definition (shortened from 1 page to 1 sentence) from Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary:

Bond of common purpose and devotion that binds Christians to one another and to Christ

So for Inara I told her we were going to have fellowship with our friend Mandy. We would talk about being mommies, small groups, Jesus, and God. I seriously told her maybe 3 times.  So she played with some toys while we talked and fellowshipped. It was really nice to get to know her better.

Then Inara and I came home, we watched Yo Gabba Gabba (Inara's current obsession) and just wrestled on the couch. It was so much fun and she had this real long belly laugh. It was a sweet time. I think sometimes I am too busy "doing" (aka being a Martha) and forget to just sit and really enjoy her (and my Jesus too).

So after some dinner at home we went to the Kenton County Public Library (another one of Inara's favorite). There we played with some trains, dinosaurs, looked at the fish and met a new friend.  We stopped at Kroger to pick up some snacks for a party tomorrow (will definitely be blogging about that later). On our way home we were talking about what we did that day. She then began to tell me all about her day...including fellowship! It was so cute and amazing. It went a little like this:

Me: Inara who did we have fellowship with?
Inara: Mandy
Me: And how do we have fellowship?
Inara: Jesus, God, small group, toys

It was so crazy how much she remembers! And it was so sweet too. I was so thankful for fellowship today. Fellowship with Mandy. Fellowship with Inara. Fellowship with my God.

And then bedtime. We rocked in her chair with her "big one" (big bunny), "little one" (little bunny), prayed, and sang some Yo Gabba Gabba songs. Then I layed her down in her bed and said "good night baby" and she said "love you mom"...perfect end to a great day!
