Toddlerwise

I finished Toddlerwise

On Becoming Toddlerwise

and surprisingly I was very much unimpressed.  It just seemed to repeat stuff from previous books and spend more time on potty training than on discipline. It spoke very vaguely about all things. I was pretty bummed especially considering the other books in the series were very helpful. And I would even say the first book Preparation for Parenting really shaped the way we parent and with out God using it in our home we would probably be sleep deprived, frustrated, and have a chaotic home.

Preparation for Parenting; The Original Feed~Wake~Sleep Reference Guide to Nuturing a Newborn (Along the Infant Way)

So next on my list is Don't Make Me Count to Three by Ginger Plowman. I have it on reserve at the library. There is only 1 copy in the Kenton County Library system. It is checked out so I'll have to wait until it is turned in

Don't Make Me Count to Three

I also have on reserve Gospel-Powered Parenting by William P. Farley.

Gospel-Powered Parenting: How the Gospel Shapes and Transforms Parenting

So hopefully I'll read something helpful soon. We have changed a little bit in the way we discipline Inara and it seems to be helping her learn to obey, learn about her sin, and more importantly learn about God's grace!

  1. I really think you'll get a lot out of both of them, but you'll love GPP. We've given away multiple copies over the last year or so And several ppl have told us that it totally changed their parenting. That's how I felt about it, it changed me as a Christian.

But now ive built it up too much!! :)
