We started off by watching our favorite Thursday night shows on NBC. I know it sounds funny, but we LOVE these (The Office, Community, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock) shows and Justin misses them a lot because of work. I BARELY made it until the end of 30 Rock (10:30pm) and collapsed in bed! But its ok because I slept nearly 12 hours! WHAT THE WHAT? Yes, I did. I am not sad about it. It.was.glorious.
After taking our time getting ready we headed up to The Great Wolf Lodge in Mason. It was SOOO much fun and I can't wait to go back again and one day take Inara. They have a very big and fun indoor water park. Here is a fun fact about Justin: He is a small child and LOVES water slides. I mean I like them too, who doesn't. But he REALLY loves them. And he really loves a wave pool...which they have indoors! This place was so much fun and the water slides are the funnest we have ever been on!

That night we went to Steak N Shake. Sounds classy right? Well it is! At our wedding we didn't get to eat our food because it was so crazy at the reception so after our wedding we ate Steak N Shake as our first meal as a married couple.
Saturday after we checked out we came home and wanted to take a
Sunday concluded our festivities. We went to church, ate Taco Bell, and saw Cirque Du Soleil: Ovo. I know...Taco Bell, another classy choice :) Well Taco Bell was where we went on our first date, so Justin thought it would be a good idea to reminisce :) Cirque Du Soleil was really fun and the music was great! It was a good way to end our time together.
Justin really is the most wonderful husband I could ask for. Its really great to see God growing him in so many ways :) One was is giving and serving. We were planning on having a really nice anniversary dinner to celebrate. But we were having a hard time finding a place that was nice...but not too nice and expensive. So Justin came up with a great idea! Donate what we would have spent on 1 nice dinner to Fairhaven Rescue Mission to provide MANY meals to those who really are in need. It was such a great idea and I am so thankful for a man who aims to please the Lord above all else.
I was thinking about Justin is the "overseer" of our house and looked up the following from 1 Timothy 3:
Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer,[a] he desires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.
Justin may not be an overseer at our church, but he is in our home and SO exemplifies the quality of man that pleases God and these verses explain the man I am married to. Love you baby!
YAY! Sounds like a super fun way to spend your 5 year anniversary! Ours is coming up soon & we have nothing planned...fail!
