So I have been meaning to post this for awhile, but then always forget. When Inara was at GSH in the NICU, it was really hard to feel connected to her when we couldn't hold her. Sometimes we could go and visit, but couldn't stay long enough to hold her. I would read her a little bible my BFF got her or sing her some songs. WELLLL....there were only 3 songs I could remember all the words too. Jesus Loves Me, Mighty to Save, and Soft Kitty from a TV show. I would just sing them OVER and OVER and OVER. Well when Inara gets sad in the car or is crying at home I will still sing 'Might to Save', and it instantly calms her down within the 1st stanza. It is so sweet. I have tried other songs and the only other one that does the trick is "Come Thou Fount". I love my little babe. Here are the lyrics...they are SO great!

Well this past week, we found a great new song that calms her down. I was telling Justin this weird dream I was having involving this creepy alarm clock that my Gran had as a kid. It's this Chicken with a guitar and sunglasses singing the following:

come and dance with me

So I was telling him about how this alarm clock was incorporated into my dream while Inara was screaming in the backseat...sometimes she doesn't love to travel. Wouldn't you know....she loved this creepy little song. I have tried it multiple times and she has stopped crying every time...how weird!
