Not the greatest picture, but this accurately depicts how I spent today... in jammies feeling sick |
37 weeks: Full term and super excited about it! I am really feeling preggo this past week. Hard to get up, hard to sleep, hard to do just about anything! I am not miserable, but definitely getting ready for him to exit my body :) I am officially full-term! I honestly didn't think I would ever get here! Some last minute changes in this past week have led me to reschedule my c-section and try for VBAC. Kind of crazy, and more on that later. I celebrated being 37 weeks by being up all night sick which caused some major contractions...good news I now know for SURE the difference between Braxton Hicks contractions and the real deal....kind of freaked out for labor now!
Cravings: No new cravings. Still grossed out by meat and loving chocolate milk
What Inara is saying: "I think when Shepherd is a big boy I will have to scoot over in my bed so he can sleep with me. And we will grow up together too". A couple times she has lifted up my shirt to hug my belly and gave him a kiss :) I can't wait until she can actually meet him. And she told me that when Shepherd comes I'll lay in bed to get better and her and Justin will go to CVS to by me iburpofen to make me feel better :) What a sweet girl!
Weight gain: 30 lbs
Things to remember: Like I said more on my VBAC decision later, but I am so thankful for a husband who supports me, a best friend to speak the truth to my confused heart, and a God who assures me I can trust Him.
High Risk: I had a little scare this week. On Sunday evening I started getting a headache and blurry vision. I tried not to freak out, because that's how it started right before Inara was born. I sat down, took some deep breaths, and checked my blood pressure (yay for having my old home health BP cuff!). It was 133/83, not super high, but way higher for my baseline which was 104/70 on Thursday. I didn't want to stress out and send my BP even higher, so I just tried to take some deep breaths and I called my OB on call. While I was waiting to hear back my headache went away, vision returned to normal and BP dropped to 111/78. When I heard back from my OB and he was updated on my symptoms and learned that I had an NST the next day, he told me to lay down and rest, drink lots of water, and they would check me out at my NST. I got some good rest and the next day at my NST my BP was normal. PHEW! Between that and my contractions last night, I did realize that I am not quite ready for him to come :)
So excited for you!!! I have friends that have had multiple successful VBACs. I can't wait to hear more.
